Awesome squirrel

Isn’t this just the cutest, fattest, most pimping little squirrel you have ever seen?

It has its own comfortable chair and every day it is fed a whole corncob. So not only does Chubby look like a rodent version of Tony Soprano, it also lives the life of an overweight mobster at the top of the crime ladder. Life as a squirrel just doesn’t get better than that, does it?

‘He probably needs to go on a diet but I think squirrels store fat for the winter. It can get brutally cold in Maine.’

If that’s true, then good for him, he’s got more fat to survive two winters for sure.

Also, I just did some googling and found out that squirrels invading corn fields in great numbers and eating everything was and is a problem. Considering the amount of corn fields that are about, I’m wondering why this is the first time I’ve ever seen or heard of a fat squirrel and also why they tend to live in trees. Seems to me they’d be better off hanging around near corn fields on little squirrel chairs. Then again, I suppose trees are little more than giant chairs and nuts are just harder and browner corn.
